Insights shows what Aha has done for you: typos fixed, Field Assist results, words written and an estimate of the time saved, broken down by app. To open it, choose Open Aha in the menu bar menu, then Insights in the sidebar. The Home page also has a small summary card with a link to Insights.
What’s on the page
Pick a period at the top: 7 days, 30 days or Year. Everything on the page follows that choice.
| Number | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Typos fixed | Realtime corrections Aha applied. |
| Field Assist | Field Assist and Smart Paste results written into a field. |
| Words written | Words in Field Assist results you kept. |
| Time saved | An estimate, explained below. |
Below the numbers you’ll find:
- Activity: a daily chart of typos fixed and Field Assist results. Underneath, the share of Field Assist suggestions you kept and how long Field Assist took to answer on average.
- Top apps and Kinds of apps: where you use Aha most, such as Mail or Slack, and email or chat.
- Streak: once you’ve used Aha two or more days in a row, a streak badge appears next to the period picker.
How time saved is estimated
Aha counts about 4 seconds for every typo it fixes and 1.5 seconds for every word of Field Assist text you keep. It’s a rough guide, not a measurement, but it’s the same rule every day, so it’s useful for comparing weeks.
Counts only, on this Mac
Insights stores numbers only: how many typos were fixed, how often Field Assist ran and in which apps. It never stores the text you typed or the text Aha wrote, and the counts never leave your Mac.
Counts older than about 400 days are dropped automatically.
Your Aha account’s web dashboard shows a separate history of Field Assist requests, which the service needs for your allowance. Typos fixed and time saved only exist on your Mac.
Turn it off or clear it
At the bottom of the Insights page, under Your data:
- Switch off Keep usage stats on this Mac to stop counting. The numbers you already have stay put.
- Click Clear… to delete every count. This can’t be undone.
